PHOTOCONTEST

For its second edition, the Rome International Documentary Festival is hosting a photo contest
to capture the essence of the event.

The contest theme is open, allowing participants to explore various subjects. However, the submitted images should reflect the festival’s core themes, which include life, relationships, human emotions, and contemporary social issues.

The contest is open to all photographers, whether they are amateurs or professionals, and there is no entry fee. Participants may submit JPEG files in web resolution (72dpi), but they must also be able to provide a high-resolution file if their photograph is selected. The submission deadline is July 10, 2023, and entries should be sent to photocontest@ridf.it.

The festival’s organizing committee, consisting of filmmakers and professional photographers, will review and select the photos. The winner will be notified via email and announced on RIDF’s social media channels on July 15, 2023.

Each participant is responsible for the content of their submitted images and releases the organizers from any potential consequences, including claims of moral or material damages from third parties. By participating in the photo contest, participants confirm that they possess the copyright for their images and have obtained necessary releases from any individuals depicted. The organizers cannot be held accountable for disputes regarding the authorship of the images or any other issues arising from the submitted photographs.

Images that demean or compromise the dignity of the subjects portrayed will not be accepted under any circumstances. The rights to the photographs remain exclusively with the respective authors, who grant the Promoting Organization permission to use the images for promoting the 2023 edition of RIDF, both in print and on the web. The author’s name will always accompany the photographs when they are used. Please note that no material prizes will be awarded.
